Some of the world’s leading names in the fashion industry are in Israel for the third annual Holon Fashion Week.

Conference participants include American super-designer Zac Posen, fashion writer Stephanie LaCava, Business of Fashion editor Imran Amed, Israeli designer and architect Ron Arad and Alexandra McGuinness, one of London’s leading stylists.

Holon Fashion Week – run by the Holon Municipality and Design Museum – aims to forge closer ties between the design industry and Israeli fashion, and the international arena.

The October 24-27 event includes master classes, workshops, lectures and screenings on the effect of the digital era on design, marketing, distribution and sale of fashion. Participants will discuss the tension between returning to traditions and handmade items and the digital world.

The happening also includes a week of fashion movie premieres at the Holon Cinematheque, including Lotus Eaters, directed by McGuinness, and Vidal Sassoon, a documentary about the renowned Jewish hair stylist.

And a fashion parade will pay homage to the best in the Israeli fashion industry.
