Israeli startup Shaker teamed up with the NBA to host fans in the basketball league’s first-ever online arena. The Shaker-NBA partnership offered fans from around the world a chance to interact, chat, watch exclusive interviews and highlights, and test one another’s NBA trivia.

Shaker, the winner of TechCrunch’s prominent Disrupt contest, launched the virtual arena for the All-Star Game grand finale last week.

The NBA turned to Shaker’s application as part of its new social media campaign.

The NBA said this year’s All-Star Game was its most digital and social faceoff to date.

NBA’s Vice President of Marketing, Melissa Brenner, told TechCrunch that the NBA has over 240 million fans of the league across Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks.
