Israel’s Teva working with American Lung Association to educate asthma sufferers Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd, headquartered in Israel, has partnered with the American Lung Association to assist asthma sufferers’ transition to a new, environmentally-friendly inhaler. Previously, inhalers contained CFCs, now banned by the American FDA. Therefore, Teva and the ALA are working to create a smooth transition to new albuterol HFA inhalers, including teaching consumers how to obtain, use and clean the new inhalers, as well as teaching them the differences between the two products. This essential information will help over twenty million people who suffer from asthma. Teva, one of the top twenty pharmaceutical companies in the world, is the leading company in developing and marketing generic and proprietary branded pharmaceuticals, in addition to manufacturing innovative human pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
