Israeli television creators have done it again. CBS is planning an American version of Shalosh (Three) – the Israeli reality series that documented the search by three women for love.

Magical Elves (the company behind Top Chef) will produce the show in collaboration with director-producer Chris Columbus and Israeli Keshet Broadcasting.
Shalosh is the sixth Keshet production to be picked up by American television.

“Israeli TV formats are not lazy. We work very hard because we’re a small country and we have to bring to the world something new, shocking, something that will attract attention,” television producer Gili Golan told ISRAEL21c.

Other adaptations include the award-winning Homeland (based on Israel’s Hatufim), Traffic Light (based on Ramzor), The Ex List (originally Ha’ex Ha’mitologi), and In Treatment (BeTipul in Hebrew), among others.
