The ‘larger than life’ American vocal pop hit-makers of the 1990s, also known as the Backstreet Boys, have arrived in Israel for three local concerts.

The ‘boys’ – in their 30s and 40s now – are staying in Tel Aviv and will perform three consecutive concerts in Ra’anana on May 19, 20, and 21. They will also take in some of Israel’s popular sites during their visit here.

The five guys —  A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson – formed the boy band in 1993 in Orlando, Florida and rose to fame with their eponymous album, Backstreet Boys in 1996. They have since sold over 130 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling boy band in history.

The pop quintet is currently on a tour called ‘In A World Like This,’ promoting their album by the same name which was released in 2013. The Backstreet Boys were supposed to perform in Israel in July 2014 but those sold-out concerts were postponed to this month due to the summer’s war.
