An Israeli touch at the Oscars

Israelis were far from the center of attention at this year’s Oscars but there was nonetheless a splash of blue-and-white pride on stage and backstage in the famous green room.
“I feel so lucky and proud! It was an amazing feeling standing up there, and more so to represent Israel, my home!” Adiri told The Times of Israel.
Another Israeli to step up on stage at the Dolby Theater was Israeli-American producer Arnon Milchan, who worked on 12 Years a Slave. Milchan joined Brad Pitt to collect the Best Picture statuette for the film.
And while the people usually snag the headlines at the Oscars, the Israeli company Caesarstone also raised a l’chaim to the Hollywood event – its quartz stone counter tops were chosen for the bar tops and table tops in the backstage green room.
Caesarstone teamed up with Architectural Digest for the 2014 Architectural Digest Greenroom at the Oscars. This year’s Greenroom was designed by renowned AD100 architect David Rockwell.
“Caesarstone is a big supporter of the entertainment industry and the Architectural Digest Greenroom lets us remind people that Caesarstone works in so many creative ways outside of the home,” said Sagi Cohen, CEO of Caesarstone US. “We are thrilled to partner with Architectural Digest again and are more impressed with their Greenroom every year.”
