Jerusalem’s fifth Season of Culture summer line-up kicks off today and that means visitors and residents have a whole range of music, theater, dance, arts, cinema, and culinary events to put on their to-do lists.

The event is divided into six separate happenings and rund through September.

“We are delighted to invite you to delve into an exciting cultural program that is jam-packed with diverse and unique artistic works that showcase Jerusalem as a city that is vibrant, multi-dimensional, fun, complex and as beautiful as ever,” reads the introduction to the Season of Culture. “We are delighted to invite you to discover Jerusalem together with us, again and again and again, and to celebrate a summer whose frenzy is the result not of conflict but of a celebration of creativity.”

The In House Festival, now taking place, invites artists and audiences to meet in different homes and venues of the city to share their thoughts on music and art.

Contact Point, the next event, will offer a “frenzied night of art and people” at the Israel Museum on August 6.

The Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival is always a highlight of the Season. The world music happening has 19 acts taking part this year. Musicians hailing from Israel, Germany, Armenia, Zanzibar, and the US will share the stage.
