US software giant Salesforce recently acquired Navajo Systems, an Israeli cloud security encryption vendor, for $30 million.
Salesforce issued an official statement of the acquisition at its Dreamforce 2011 conference in San Francisco.
The buyout of the Israeli security encryption vendor was meant to ease customer concerns about data security in the cloud. Salesforce had used Navajo’s encryption services before.
Navajo was founded in 2009. Details of the deal are few and Navajo’s website simply says: “The entire Navajo Systems team is happy to announce that we have joined forces with Salesforce.com.”
