Lachish Industries of Israel, a leading company in technological development for the agricultural sector, is ushering in a new era in cattle feeding methods with the Mixellent – an innovative machine designed for accurate, fast, cost effective feeding of cattle leading to increased milk production.

The Mixellent provides a homogeneous, balanced feed mixture to ensure optimum milk production and a strong, healthy herd. The machine’s driver allows for smooth execution of the feeding process and the device is said to grant owners/investors complete control of the feeding process, which constitutes up to 70 percent of a dairy farm’s costs.

Lachish Industries reports that the Mixellent complies with all safety and environmental regulations, is energy-efficient, enables savings in raw materials and shortens feed preparation time.

Gershon Goldenberg, CEO and chairman of Lachish industries based in Sderot in southern Israel, notes that the Mixellent, developed with the support of the Chief Scientist of Israel, is mostly intended for export and “… enables farm owners to considerably increase the production of milk, and as a result their profitability.”

Cows in Israel produce an average of 12,000 liters (3,170 gallons) of milk annually, compared to an average of 9,000 liters (2,378 gallons) in comparable milk-producing countries.
