People Magazine has included Lior Suchard, the Israeli paranormalist who’s taking Las Vegas by storm, on its list of Sexiest Men Alive for 2010, according to Israel’s Ynet website.

Suchard is reportedly on the list representing 28-year-olds. The list also includes David Beckham (35), Antonio Banderas (50), Ricky Martin (38), Sting (59), Liam Neeson (58) and Rafael Nadal (24). Actor Ryan Reynolds came out on top and was named Sexiest Man Alive 2010.

Suchard has received considerable publicity in the US, following his performance on the Jay Leno show. Speaking from Los Angeles Suchard said, “I still can’t believe that I’m on the list, I’m in shock. I got all sorts of text messages from people telling me that I’m in the magazine so I immediately ran to the store to buy it. One the one hand, I’m a little embarrassed but on the other hand, this is very exciting. It was never my goal to be on it, but it is definitely cool to be included in the distinguished list.”

Suchard reportedly met with David Beckham in Los Angeles last week and the two discussed appearing side by side on the list. “We promised that we would sign each other’s magazines,” Suchard said. “We will be meeting up in London in two weeks and I hope that he visits me in Israel one day.”

According to the Hebrew daily Yedioth Ahronoth, Suchard, who has been performing in Las Vegas for the past few weeks, won a coveted 10-week regular performer contract at the glamorous Palms Casino Resort.

Described as an Uri Geller-style entertainer, Suchard promises Las Vegas audiences “90 minutes of interactive, intense, crazy fun. It’s not just a mind-reading show, it’s also standup comedy. My experience has taught me the combination works well.”

He is also eyeing the talk show circuit: “We’re in talks with The Oprah Winfrey Show, Dr. Phil, The Rachael Ray Show and Ellen DeGeneres, so I’ll be on one of those soon, too,” he says.
