Israeli marketing systems start-up Pontis raises nearly $20mIsraeli company Pontis Networks, a developer of software marketing systems for communication service providers, has raised $19.65 million in its second financing round.
The round was led by Norwest Venture Partners and joined by existing investors Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, and Evergreen Venture Partners.
Pontis, which is based in Glil Yam, with offices in Spain and Argentina, was founded in 2002 by CEO Michael Kerbis and Ofer Sheinkin. It has raised $44 million altogether.
The company’s platform, which is designed to help wireless communications providers increase their average revenue per user, enables them to define new services quickly and efficiently in order to install new systems easily.
Norwest partner Dror Nahumi, who is to join the company’s board of directors, said: “We are extremely impressed with the progress and success Pontis has experienced recently with tier one customers and partners supporting pre-paid, VOD and VAS services.”
