Israel to hold first international nanotech conference in MarchIsrael is to hold its first international nanotechnology conference on March 30-31st. The two-day conference, NanoIsrael 2009, is being held as part of Israel’s 60th anniversary celebrations. It will showcase Israeli research and innovation in nanotechnology, and bring together a group of renowned worldwide experts working in this field.
Speakers include Anatoly Chubais, the director general of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies; Prof. Paul Alivisatos, director of the US Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory; Matthew N. Nordan, president of Lux Research; Dr. Herbert Von Bose, director of EU Industrial Technologies Strategies; and Prof. Charles Lieber, a leading nanoscientist at Harvard University and founder of the nanotechnology startup company Nanosys.
The conference and accompanying exhibition, which are to be held at the Inbal Jerusalem Hotel, will explore scientific innovation and business and investment opportunities in the sector.
