The Notnim Tikva (“Giving Hope”) non-profit organization decided to follow the popular flash mob route, inviting dancers to entertain pediatric patients at Chaim Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.
Choreographer Nadav Zelner and a group of professional dancers from the Suzanne Dellal Center answered the call and came to show the kids that “doctors” (the dancers dressed as hospital staff) could boogie with the best of them.
The mini flash mob performed to the song “Footloose,” making scrubs look trendy.
They also danced with kids in the different departments at the hospital and spent time chatting with them and posing for photos. The video was shot and edited by Daniel Kaminsky.

The Tel Hashomer video is the latest Israeli hospital flash mob to go viral.
Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem kicked off the trend with a rap video on hygiene.
Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem also played host to a flash mob with students from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance “flash-waltzing” Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the Flowers” in honor of Good Deeds Day, an annual event that originated in Israel in 2007 and now takes place worldwide.
