An Israeli zookeeper took the GoPro trend one step further and caught on film the amazing techniques animals use to slurp up water. Elad Herskowitz, who works in the African section of the Zoological Center Tel Aviv – Ramat Gan (Safari), put cameras in the watering holes and pressed record.

While on the surface it would seem this daily undertaking is mundane, the video shows a surprisingly amazing phenomenon.

Watch as a giraffe, lion, oryx, lemur monkey, tapir, zebra and rhino animatedly quench their thirsts.

The animals often resemble Disney characterizations of themselves as they suck water through their teeth, lap up drops with their long tongues and make hilarious faces at the camera.
