Dancers from the Ensemble Prisma troupe bring a splash of culture to Jerusalem’s famous Machane Yehuda market as part of the city’s Winter Noise festival, which opened on February 2.

Every year for the last four years, the city hosts an array of music concerts, dance shows, art exhibitions, film screenings, poetry readings and even cooking classes on Monday evenings through February – traditionally the city’s quietest month of the year.

This year more than 100 artists and dancers will take part in the festival, which takes place each time at different locations of the city. This year there will be 64 events during the four-week festival.

Events begin at 7pm and continue into the night. Entry to most events is free.

This week’s photograph of the week is by Maxim Dinshtein/Flash90.

If you’ve got a photograph you’d like to feature on ISRAEL21c please send it in high resolution to info@israel21c.org. Every week we will choose the best one to feature on our pages.
