Leora Cheshin is a professional photographer specializes in vibrantly colorful nature photography as well as documenting street art with several successful books on the subject to her credit.

In her most recent exhibit, currently on display at the Jaffa Museum, Cheshin continues her examination of life’s cracks, crevices and shadows in two series.

The first, entitled “Crumbs”, looks at faded objects, so familiar to Israelis of a certain age — white sheeted down duvets, wooden high-backed chairs, and flower patterned china.

“Land of the Living” takes a lonely wander on a hot sunny day, exploring the fragments, textures and sensations of an Israeli cemetery.
