Following last week’s International Hot Air Balloon Festival, the Gilboa Regional Council has come out with a set of stunning photos of the event by photographer Haim Journo that provide an up-close point of view of the event.
As hot air began to inflate the envelopes…
International visitors joined local balloonists…
Under colorful canopies…
Tethered and waiting patiently…
Until the moment they were freed and set aloft.
The balloons started out in northern Israel, at Park Ma’ayan Harod near Mount Gilboa in the Galilee and finished up in the south at Park Eshkol in the Negev. To date, this was Israel’s largest Balloon Festival
