Breakthrough Israeli method used to treat ADHD and dyslexia [Video]

An Israeli woman has developed a novel neuro-cognitive approach that is helping children and adults all over the world overcome learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD.
At school Barak Raviv couldn’t read or write. He suffered from severe dyslexia and whatever his mother, Nili tried to do to help her son failed miserably. “Nothing helped. We tried everything and he was told he would never read and write,” she tells ISRAEL21c.
Then, at the age of 17, Barak went to Hawaii for six months to learn surfing. On his return to Israel, he started to read street signs. Within two months he was reading books from cover to cover. His first book was Catcher in the Rye.
In a bid to understand the miraculous change that had occurred in her son, Nili spent the next three years researching the field. She discovered that Barak’s learning difficulties had originated in his inability to anchor his focal point. Once he learned to do this in surfing, Barak could transfer the ability to other areas of his life.
Nili and Barak went on to create exercises for those who suffer from dyslexia, and also adapted their method to help treat ADHD and learning difficulties.
Since then, mother and son have trained over 1,000 practitioners in Israel and the UK, and their method is now taught at Bar Ilan University.
A pilot study was undertaken in Newport, England with excellent results and in November, a new course for practitioners opens in Irvine California.
