ISRAEL21c invited to global cancer fellowship
This story reports on how ISRAEL21c's Viva Sarah Press, associate editor at ISRAEL21c, was one of 44 journalists and 78 cancer and tobacco control advocates, representing all the world regions, to be invited to take part in the American Cancer Society's Global Journalist Fellowship in New York City in June. Activists told focus on Israel beyond the conflict
This Washington Jewish Week story reports on ISRAEL21c's Executive Vice President Larry Weinberg's recent trip to Washington, DC to lecture about the "Israel Branding Summit" at the Israeli Embassy and Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington. "Israel is defined by two lenses - the eternal conflict or [religious] Orthodoxy," he told about 30 local Jewish activists on Wednesday of last week at the Embassy of Israel in the District. "We need another lens," a "human" one that focuses on technology, health and culture, he said.
