Top Canadian and Israeli researchers of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) will take part in the First Canada-Israel ASD Symposium at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the first week of March.
The goal of the conference is to bring together the best minds in autism research from both countries to present and discuss the latest research directions and the impact of these studies on families and communities. Researchers from both countries hope to spark bi-national collaborations as well.
The last day of the Symposium, March 4, will be open to the general public. Opening remarks will be made by Lihi Lapid, wife of Israeli Minister of Finance and a mother to a child with an ASD syndrome.
Some of the visiting Canadian neurological experts are taking part in Friday’s Tel Aviv Marathon (Feb. 28), to raise funds for autism research.
