Quilting the kibbutz experience

Lovingly stitched patchwork quilts comprise a folksy, original tribute to the first 100 years of the Israeli collective village enterprise.

The small but vibrant Israel Quilters Association undertook an unusual visual project in celebration of the centennial of the Israeli kibbutz movement. The patchworks were displayed in Europe in the group’s first formal exhibition.
