Driedels, and other traditional symbols of the Hanukkah holiday light up the Old City walls of Jerusalem in celebration of this December’s festival of lights.
Hanukkah is an eight-day Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean revolt.
The holiday is observed for eight days and nights with the lighting of candles on the nine-branched hanukkiah.
