We already know Lonely Planet calls it the third top city in the world, and that locals describe it as the city that never stops, but now Tel Aviv has a new accolade – it’s one of the 10 hottest summer party spots for 2011, according to leading hotel price comparison search site, HotelsCombined.com.

The site rated the Israeli seaside metropolis as number nine on its list, and described it as “Home to some of the hottest nightclubs in the Middle East.”

It added that the city boasts “a steamy noctural playground not for the faint of heart”, with beachfront parties, underground clubs, and bartenders who are “notoriously generous with alcohol servings”.

Top of the list was Ibiza in Spain, followed by Ios in Greece, Las Vegas, Berlin and London. Miami, New York City, Amsterdam, and surprisingly Reykjavik in Iceland, were also in the top 10.
