If you haven’t yet figured out your virtual greetings for the upcoming Jewish New Year, the wonderful Nostal.co.il has the perfect solution. Nostal.co.il – a virtual collection of all things Israeli – each year posts a selection of Shana Tova cards from years gone by. There’s bound to be one to fit every need.

In addition, Nostal.co.il, has online e-cards for other occasions as well. Where else are you gong to find a Sypholux soda water dispenser with a wedding greeting, a hot water bottle for that special someone you’d like to warm up to, or a leather schoolbag — particularly fitting for this past week and the new school year.

A few years ago, the Israel Postal Company issued a line of nostalgia-inspired cards. These are no longer available but you can see and share the images here. Last year, the Ramle Museum celebrated 100 years of Shana Tova greetings with an exhibition. And two years ago, we presented a collection of New Year greeting cards by illustrator Brigitta Brandeis – they’re still online and still cute as can be.

Shana Tova! A sweet New Year of health and happiness to all.
